crochet

sooo after doing some double crochet rounds back and forth and back and forth i bit the bullet and tried a beginner suuuper cute butterfly top. predictably, mine sucks ass. so i'm redoing it! yay!

i'll be mindful of my habit of tightening the poor yarn to another plane of reality, and i'll work on UBER precision pew pew. i'll post pics but ONLYYY of a satisfying end product :)

UPDATE: it has become a regular thing! woah they weren't playing when they said it would become an addiction. I made tops and covers and blankets and cases for my hoops. Love it! It's been upgraded to regular thing status.

GIMP

is it art? who knows. to me it sorta is so may as well.

i saw that graphic design needs photoshop experience, and i really can't be arsed to dish out €60 a month, nor do i have the experience to pirate it without getting who knows what in my beloved laptop. So GIMP it is (if it is to be said so it be so it is).

bro it looks and feels complex as HELL, but god bless the youtube tutorial makers of the world, i saved some vids and hopefully i'll make sense of it.

UPDATE: a girl has mastered thy software, a girl has won, but at what cost. Sigh, i think i will keep this in my skill shelf, but i doubt it will become my main thing. Hashtag artist era. I prefer to use procreate, which at the time of typing is back in my uni apartment while i die of allergies at my parents' house :(

driving

okay I KNOW, despite being a grown ass adult, i have no license BUT.

you really cannot judge me lest you have felt the horrors of italian bureucracy, so, i have simply asked my mom to teach me how to drive and it's literally so laughingly easy it makes me wonder why i was so terrified at first. Nevermind, i know why, it's because while being easy, whenever you drive you have this powerful muder machine at your hands and you simply hop on it to go buy fucking pasta at the grocery store. Like, i genuinely cannot comprehemd why everyone takes it as something so ordinary when i could literally take down a small nation by pressing "power" and turning the wheel a couple times.

rant aside, i can confess that i can now answer the question "oh can you drive?" with "can i drive, yes, do i have a licence, no. And disappear in a cloud of smoke leaving a byronic aura of mysteriousness in my wake.
